My generation will remember the great series on on a saturday night with Dean Cain and Terri Hatcher, wow it was good viewing....but then again at a similar time I had thought Baywatch was the same. And you thought only men could love that show! Saturday night was always a great time-not too far into the weekend before school and it would be usually the only day in the week where we had some chocolate.
Now there is that other show Smallville which i never got into. Batman and Robin and the films that ensued have always been my superhero of choice though and another embarrassing secret? I always had a thing for Robin!!!

This cupcake took a lot of work, it is not perfect, rather a work in progress. The "S" for the logo is such a distinctive shape and needs a lot of time and skill both of which i do not have in any abundance!

My Grandpa does a very good Donald Duck impression! So this one is for him. I also used to love the show "Duck tales" there is many a fond memory of a weekend morning sat mesmerised by the screen.

I spent this weekend morning making this hot tempered duck at my little baking table in the living room, with a rainbow spectrum of edible dyes in front of me and an edible drawing pen in the other and it was bliss!

this rich beauty was requested by my mother for our Christmas party. As my parents go on holiday for Christmas every year we have a party a week or so earlier. What a feast it was...home made quiche and salads including my mums famous rice salad, expensive cheeses and biscuits. As a vegetarian family we do not opt for the usual roast for such festivities.

This cake was as you can imagine very popular but should come with a warning "Warning: eat in small doses" You can help but overeat with this one.

These always go down a treat. I love their shape, from a brioche dish. Im going to be controversial:
1) i dont like chocolate
2) I prefer cocoa powder to bars of chocolate in my cakes.

A much richer cake can be made of melting down some Green & Blacks and stirring into the mixture. However as I am not a chocolate fan i prefer the less rich and more sweet flavour cocoa can lend.

The chocolate custard is out of the Hummingbird bakerys recipe book and it is as amazingly good as it looks

Coffee and Walnut cake

One of my favourite flavour combinations, a nice sweet sponge complimented perfectly with coffee. As a non coffee drinker it is the only time I experience the wake up call that is caffeine. No nut will go more than the walnut with coffee cake.
I often pop some chocolate in and make it a mochachino.
